I just finished a 400 page book in 12 days and also my first book for 2021. Small wins, so proud of myself!!
I was so pumped up to finish this book as it was my very first book for 2021. Also, the story was a whole ride of rollercoaster and it has been long since I read this genre of book so I was just blown away by this book. I really liked it and feel like I want to go visit new york right now. All the places mentioned int he book made me want to go and just see the city.
The book was written in such unique way where the cities were reborn into the physical of a human. The people who become the city can feel whatever happens in the city, the power they have. They have control over the city and some of them actually have special powers.
The ups and downs of the book, I really enjoyed it and the whole alien thing in the book was just an added bonus that I really enjoy having present as characters in the book too.
No matter how bad people say new york is I think it will be worth it to experience the city and get the whole vibe. I'm a very city type of person so, I think NYC will suit me a lot and I will enjoy it. No matter how pack or fast paced it I think I will enjoy it. Just like London. I really loved it.

Aaaah this was so good and I just wish I could be in new york to see all the places that was mentioned in the book. Everything in the book was just so good. It'll be so awesome if this book got turned into a tv series or movie. I love the storyline and how different 1 borough is. The characters in the book are all so unique. I'm seriously just amazed at the imagination and writing of N.K. Jemisin. It's just so so interesting. Can't wait for the next 2 books of this trilogy!!
