third week of low buy
It's time for a low buy update! Third week in and the feeling of not spending is actually quite good. While the feeling when I spend money is just a sense of guilt. As I've actually blown up my budget for October at the starting of the month and before I started my low buy journey, it was actually much easier for me to control my urges to buy something.
What I usually like to do is purchase stuffs with my student credit card because it provides cashback of 1% regardless of the amount I spend. So I like to use that card. It actually has a $500 limit which is good but at the same time, since I have the money, I usually will pay off the certain used amount then purchase stuffs with the card. So by the end of the month I have some remaining balance that I have to pay off. So my target for next month is that, using the credit card to purchase within my budget BUT NOT SPENDING THE CASH AT ALL and save it up to pay when end of the month comes so that I still can earn my cashback.
There were a few temptations this week that I had to face... Naelofar and Calaqisya came out with new stuffs and I was very VERY tempted to buy. To just check out especially since it's online shopping. I ACTUALLY DID CHECKOUT ON ZALORA. Ok the levis jeans on zalora was going even much more cheaper than 50% off so I actually purchased a pair of jeans. But then 2 days later since it still haven't got delivered, I decided to just cancel it. It was the best decision I did. So thankful in occasions where I am still able to cancel my purchases online. That was almost $56 going away.
For this week, I mainly spent on food when I went to a cafe and ate out and the groceries I bought to prepare for the picnic that. Oh wow that actually sums up to $99.36. This also includes a birthday gift for my friend.
Will be back next week with another update and the closing for October. Next update will also include me getting my monthly salary and I'll probably talk about how I budget my money.
